ABA Paraprofessional/RBT – Cresskill, NJ

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking an ABA paraprofessional or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for the current 2024-2025 school year in Cresskill, NJ. The ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) paraprofessional or RBT will work closely with students on the autism spectrum and with other related behavioral needs. The ABA paraprofessional or RBT will build rapport with their student(s), to learn behaviors and modify them in a constructive way. The ideal candidate will have previous background working in an ABA setting.
Hours/Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:30am to 2:50pm
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- One-on-one instruction: Implementing lessons and behavior intervention plans created by a behavior consultant
- Data collection: Recording session progress and other data on data sheets
- Collaboration: Working with families to teach skills that support their child's progress
- Documentation: Maintaining records of behavior analysis data and graphing
- Communication: Working with teachers and other staff to create an effective learning environment
- Participating in clinical team meetings and training
- Assisting with classroom activities and setup
- Supervising students during emergencies, assemblies, and field trips
- Helping students with personal care needs
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an ABA setting required
- CPI and restraint training preferred
- Must have a High School Diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the New Jersey Board of Education
