Behavioral Health Therapist – Livingston, NJ

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking a qualified Therapist in Livingston, NJ for an outpatient, in-patient, and partial hospitalization program. The Therapist will be responsible for supporting clients and families advocating for their emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. The goal of the therapist will be to reduce adolescent anxiety, depression, and other associated disorders, while working as part of a collaborative and growth-oriented team. This position offers small caseloads, shortened Fridays, and supervisory hours for LSWs and LACs.
Hours/Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 2 days per week: 8:30am – 5pm
- 2 days per week: 10:30am – 7pm
- Fridays: 9am – 2pm
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide transformative individual, group, and family therapy while maintaining a small caseload of 6 clients, with limited on-call availability for parent communication (ending at 7pm)
- Lead comprehensive treatment planning, including development, implementation, and discharge coordination
- Ensure clinical excellence through detailed documentation, outcomes testing, and treatment standard compliance
- Collaborate with an experienced team to deliver optimal client care and support community reintegration
- Guide clients and families through the full therapeutic journey, from initial rapport-building to successful program completion

Qualification Requirements
- Required: Licensed or qualifying associate licensed therapist in the state of New Jersey: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Associate Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Social Worker
- Preferred: High-acuity experience (IOP/PHP, Residential, Psychiatric Hospital, Crisis Stabilization) with relational, experiential, and evidence based systemic techniques
- Preferred: 1-2 years of work experience as an adolescent therapist leading individual, family, and group therapy sessions
- Proficiency in incorporating clinical diagnostic and assessment instruments to monitor client progress and treatment outcomes
