Physical Education Teacher – Bernardsville, NJ

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking a leave replacement Physical Education teacher in Bernardsville, NJ. The Physical Teacher is responsible for relaying knowledge to students by guiding activities according to the Physical Education teaching curriculum. Their duties include communicating with students, as well as parents or guardians regarding student progress and development, instructing assignments and activities, and developing physical educational lesson plans. The ideal candidate will emphasize student growth, engagement, and be able to adjust teaching style to each learner’s habits of learning.

Schedule/Hours:

• Mon-Fri: 8:55am to 3:31pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula that align with educational standards.
• Create lesson plans that incorporate a variety of physical activities, sports, and fitness concepts.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and teamwork.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and assessments.
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate health education into the overall curriculum.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
• Must be fingerprinted by the NJ Department of Education
• NJ Teacher of Physical Education Certification is required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
