Registered Behavior Technician – Hazlet, NJ
Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking a qualified Registered Behavior Technician in Hazlet, NJ. Under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism and related developmental disabilities. Duties include adhering to behavioral health plans to provide students with beneficial care, interviewing students at the school facility, and drafting reports to relay their progress to senior professionals.
Hours/Schedule
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 3:30pm
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with a student in the classroom setting
- Collect and maintain accurate data and clinical notes utilizing data collection format
- Attend to child’s physical, personal, and emotional needs
- Consistently implement treatment plans (under BCBAs direction) and prepare program materials
- Implement treatment protocols that include a wide variety of tasks such as toilet training, communication, social, and adaptive living skills
- Assist with parent training and clinical assessments, as needed
- Communicate effectively with the BCBA regarding learner's progress

- RBT Certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to understand child’s needs
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education.
Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma (required); or
- An Associate’s Degree or higher (preferred); or
- Some completion of study at an institution of higher learning (preferred)
