Horizon Staffing is seeking qualified Certified Nursing Assistants, Paraprofessional, or Registered Behavior Technicians to work as student aides in Cape May County, NJ. The positions are 1:1, working in the classroom with one student to help in daily living activities, and all other related tasks. The goal of the aides is to develop student independence and manage behaviors. Must be comfortable with assisting in classroom transitions, mobility assistance, and behavior management.
Schedule:
School Schedule: Monday through Friday
Assignment Hours: 8:30am to 2:30pm
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Assist student in mobility throughout the school day
- Assist student with behavior management
- Attend to students' physical, personal, and emotional needs
- Assist student with required daily living activities
- Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans
- Other duties as directed by school case management team
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with 1-1 care a plus!
- Experience with children a plus!
- Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education.
