Talent & HR Specialist – Trenton, NJ

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking a temp to hire Talent & HR Specialist for a charter school located in Trenton, NJ. The Talent & HR Specialist will be responsible for leading and executing talent selection for all positions available within the Charter School District. Responsibilities include providing support to all other support roles, ensuring managing candidate communications and school leader partnerships.

Hours/Schedule

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:15am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Leading recruitment efforts for all openings by posting jobs, screening/interviewing candidates, and handling on boarding process for all new candidates.
  • Coordinate and run interview processes (in-person and virtual).
  • Manages school leader relationships and collaborates with Principals and overall Leadership Team for instructional hiring.
  • Ensures accurate data in recruitment systems and analyzes data to identify and address trends in real time and make changes to outreach and selection strategies as needed.
  • Manages Onboarding and Off-boarding, PTO, Certification and Payroll Submission.
  • Prepare and review compensation and benefits packages.
  • Update and maintain employment records.
  • Maintains accurate staff demographic data as needed for state reporting.
  • Manages required employees training within the school’s training platform.
  • Manages any disability or injury claims in a timely, robust and effective manner.
  • Oversees and directly manages Paycom to ensure all employee information is up to date.
  • Works closely with the Data Coordinator to provide staff demographic information as needed for reporting purposes.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 2 years experience working in Recruitment within a high-performing organization and competitive talent market OR 2 years experience teaching in K-12 schools.
  • Payroll (timecard approvals) and benefit enrollment experience.
  • 2-4 years of total experience required.
  • Must have ability to maintain up-to-date personnel records.
  • Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education
